PINDORAMA, BAHIA, BRAZIL – APRIL 21, 2025 16-year-old Maria Flor Matos was detained in connection with the murder of her own mother, 38-year-old Yane Soares Matos (some sources report she was 44). The victim was cold-bloodedly shot in the head. The investigation revealed that the murder had been premeditated.

During police interrogation, Maria stated that she had been in long-term conflict with her mother. The disagreement stemmed from Maria’s involvement in the criminal activities of the ADM gang (Anjos da Morte), which her mother strongly opposed. She even began threatening to report her to the police. This led the girl to plan her mother’s murder together with her boyfriend.
