GORECENTER'S GOALS

  1. To collect all gore and shocking material in one politically neutral place. This can help protect democracy in several ways:
    • It supports the work of all investigative journalists, who are one of the fundamental pillars of democracy. GoreCenter content allows them to freely access information, to share information among themselves. This is all free of charge and without censorship.
    • It prevents the spread of fake news, as shocking images and videos are often misused for fake news. On GoreCenter, fake news can be back-checked because most of our posts always contain the maximum possible information.
    • It effectively prevents the spread of propaganda from non-democratic countries during hybrid warfare. A current case is Russia and its trolls, who often use older photos of deceased people and say they are victims of Ukraine. Thanks to GoreCenter, such images and videos can be retroactively verified.
  2. Educate the professional public as well as all members of our community:
    • Footage of real traffic accidents and injuries can help medical professionals, medics and doctors with education and preparation for real situations.
    • Footage of real dead bodies teach anatomy in a way that no illustration in a book can.
  3. To show that life is very fragile and we should appreciate it and be careful. Because only uncensored reality will help many people to realize:
    • that neither alcohol nor drugs belong behind the wheel,
    • that behind the street drugs they buy, there is usually a lot of violence and blood,
    • that suicide is not the solution to life's problems,
    • etc.
