VIETNAM Two groups of people fought in the middle of a night street. One of the participants took the fight very seriously and used a metal rod, repeatedly striking his rival in the head. At first, the victim just fell to the ground, but another blow caused brain damage, and he began convulsing uncontrollably.
Sometimes a blow to the head only triggers a seizure. In this case, however, it resulted in post-traumatic brain injury. The outcome for him is unfortunately unknown.
If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, do not underestimate it. When someone’s life is at stake, all heroics must stop. It is crucial to immediately call emergency services and monitor the victim’s consciousness and vital signs. If they stop, resuscitation must be started immediately to keep the brain supplied with oxygenated blood.
