Everything changed when she met a man named Zhang in 2019. He charmed her with money, property, and luxury cars. They started dating, but he was no saint. Reportedly, he had ties to an international drug network.
Later, they broke up due to conflicts in their relationship. However, Zhang carried within him a strong desire for revenge and released online sex tapes and nude photos of Shi Xiaoyue. Part of the public began to insult her and question her reputation.
Shi Xiaoyue did not give up and started fighting back. She called the videos fake, claiming they had been altered with special software, and accused Zhang of blackmailing her by threatening to send the photos and videos to her family. Along with this statement, she filed a criminal complaint with the police and urged her fans not to believe the rumors.
Despite the problems she faced, Shi did not abandon her dreams and continued creating social media videos. But suddenly her consistency stopped. In her last video, she was in a hotel room doing a makeup tutorial. Nothing suggested that anything was about to happen. That very evening, however, her ex-boyfriend convinced her to travel to northern Myanmar. Shortly after, her social media accounts disappeared, shocking her fans.
A few days later, photos began circulating online showing a dead, frozen woman wrapped in a plastic bag. It was allegedly Shi, and the photos were said to have been taken by Zhang to send to his drug associates in Myanmar. But since her face was not visible in the pictures, many fans dismissed it as a conspiracy theory. Everything changed, however, when photos from a Chinese morgue appeared showing the woman’s face. There was no longer any doubt about her identity. Shi Xiaoyue had been murdered.
The investigation revealed it was not a crime of passion or a sudden outburst. Everything had been meticulously planned. Zhang decided to completely destroy her after their breakup. When his initial attempts failed, he devised a trap. He pretended to apologize and acted as if he realized all his mistakes. He told her he had a normal job, promised her expensive gifts, and invited her on a trip to Myanmar. Unfortunately, she accepted his invitation.
The case of Shi Xiaoyue became a symbol of how far hatred and revenge can go. A young woman with a promising future became the victim of a man she once trusted. Her story is a chilling warning that trusting the wrong person can have fatal consequences.
