TIANJIN, CHINA Passersby on the embankment of the Hai River noticed something unusual in the water. Upon closer inspection, they realized it was a person and immediately called the police. From the icy river, a young woman was pulled out, unfortunately already lifeless. Her body was transported to the forensic medical institute, where it underwent an autopsy. No signs of violence were found, and the presence of water in her lungs suggests she drowned. Determining the time of death was significantly complicated by the icy water, which rapidly alters body temperature and slows decomposition. The results of the police investigation were never released, leaving us to speculate whether her death was an accident or suicide.
