KURSK OBLAST, RUSSIA – SEPTEMBER 5, 2025 17-year-old adolescent took a desperate step and committed suicide by jumping from the 16th floor of an apartment building. According to all available information, he did not live in that building but waited at the entrance until someone opened the door so he could slip inside. His fall was captured by a security camera at the entrance.
Further investigation showed that the teenager left a farewell letter. In it, he stated that he committed the act due to bullying at school. Several classmates had made his life a living hell.
The incident shows how far bullying can go and why it is so important to address it. Nothing in the world can bring this young man back, but many other lives can be saved if people keep their eyes open and do not ignore bullying.
If you’re thinking about suicide, please stop and recognize that your pain is not permanent, but this step would be. It may feel like there’s no other way, but there is hope, even if it’s hard to see right now. Your feelings are temporary, and with help, they can pass.
