CAPANEMA, PARÁ, BRAZIL – SEPTEMBER 15, 2025 Man identified as Antônio Oliveira do Nascimento Júnior, better known locally by his nickname “Mosquito,” was assassinated by a masked shooter in front of his house on Quintino Ferreira Street in São Cristóvão. The attack occurred while he was painting the facade of his home. Two men on a motorcycle surprised him, with one shooting him in the back and then several times in the head.
Antônio died on the spot. The perpetrators immediately fled the scene. The police are actively searching for them. Although the murder was caught on a security camera, both assailants were well disguised. They wore neutral clothing and covered their faces with motorcycle helmets.
Like the identity of the attackers, their motive is also unknown to the police. Authorities have appealed to the public for information. Anyone with details about the crime is urged to contact the Brazilian police by any means, including the anonymous tip line 181 for reporting crimes.
