THAILAND Night boat trip in search of snakes turned into a nightmare for one of the adventurers. A reticulated python lurking in the water grabbed him by the arm, pulled him into the water, coiled around him, and began slowly constricting him like its prey. Some sources claim he was killed, while others report that he survived.
The reticulated python is the largest living snake in Thailand and one of the longest snakes in the world, reaching lengths of up to 33 feet (10 meters). Although not venomous, its size and strength can make it potentially dangerous to humans. Attacks are rare, as only the largest individuals will challenge a person, but such encounters can be fatal.
