Two men crushed by heavy marble slabs

CODÓ, MARANHÃO, BRAZIL – SEPTEMBER 24, 2025 Two men were fatally crushed by heavy marble slabs while unloading them from a truck. According to witnesses, part of the material suddenly shifted and pinned the men against the side of the truck, causing their immediate deaths. A police spokesperson for the area stated that an investigation will be conducted to determine the causes of the accident and any possible negligence. The victims were identified as 38-year-old Agelanor Caprini Salvador (truck driver) and 31-year-old Francivaldo Reis Chaves.
