SANTO DOMINGO, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – SEPTEMBER 29, 2025 28-year-old man identified as Neify Aquino Montero became the victim of a robbery in the Villa Linda neighborhood. While walking on the night street José Francisco Peña Gómez, he was stopped by two armed robbers. They demanded he hand over his personal belongings, but he refused to cooperate. This prompted one of the robbers to fire, killing him.

The national police caught and arrested both robbers within a few days. They were identified as 19-year-olds Sebastián Féliz Rodríguez and Yojansel Manuel Frías.
In similar cases, it is generally recommended to always cooperate with a robber. Your personal belongings are not more valuable than your health or life. Robbers are under stress during such incidents, and if they lose control of the situation, they may react unpredictably.
