IBAGUÉ, TOLIMA, COLOMBIA – OCTOBER 22, 2025 Impatient motorcyclist tried to overtake a truck just as its driver began turning. Although, according to the security camera footage, the truck driver did everything correctly and clearly indicated his intention with a turn signal, the biker ignored it. When he realized the truck was turning, it was already too late to react. He tried to swerve at the last moment, and while he avoided the truck, he lost control and crashed at full speed into a streetlight pole. He died on the spot.
The incident highlights not only the importance of following traffic rules but also the need for attentiveness and consideration on the road. Even though the truck driver wasn’t at fault, one glance in the mirror could have prevented the tragedy. For motorcyclists, the golden rule remains: remember how easily you can be overlooked.
