RÂMNICU VÂLCEA, ROMANIA 56-year-old man got into a heated argument with his girlfriend and, overwhelmed by emotion, attempted to take his own life. He first cut his neck during the altercation, then climbed onto the fourth-floor balcony, threatening to jump. Firefighters arrived and tried to prepare an inflatable rescue mattress, but he fell before it could be deployed. Sadly, he did not survive the fall.
