MUMBAI, INDIA – OCTOBER 19, 2025 7-year-old boy identified as Anvay Majumdar was playing outside with his friends. He was kneeling on the road when an SUV driver failed to notice him and ran over his leg. The boy suffered several fractures to his leg and ankle. He had to undergo a demanding surgery, but fortunately nothing more serious happened to him.
The incident is a harsh reminder for both drivers and parents. As a driver, you must anticipate the movement of people and children on the roadway, even in places where it is least expected. As a parent, you must keep in mind that 7-year-old children are often not mentally mature enough to objectively assess the risks of their actions. Children this young require constant supervision from an adult.
