LA LIBERTAD, EL SALVADOR – SEPTEMBER, 2023 48-year-old woman unsuccessfully attempted to cross a busy section of the Pan-American Highway in the early morning hours. She was struck by a fast-moving vehicle and killed instantly. The force of the impact literally split her in half. A motorcyclist was also involved in the accident, sustaining some injuries but surviving.
The incident highlights once again the importance of following traffic rules and exercising caution when crossing roads. Attempting to cross a multi-lane highway at high speed is never a good idea. Stay alert and think carefully – your life and health are irreplaceable.
