Female street vendor killed by electric shock

HO CHI MINH, VIETNAM – DECEMBER 25, 2025 Tragic accident occurred at a market on Lê Minh Nhựt Street, resulting in the death of a 49-year-old woman. While preparing goods for sale, she leaned against a metal pole supporting the stall’s awning and suddenly collapsed. A nearby young woman quickly turned off the electricity and, together with local residents, moved the victim to a safe area, but first aid was unsuccessful.

Authorities from Tân Thông Hội Commune investigated the scene and reviewed CCTV footage. Initial findings suggest the woman may have been electrocuted through the metal frame of the stall’s awning. Police continue to investigate the incident to clarify the circumstances.
