LIMA, PERU – DECEMBER 26, 2025 As-yet unidentified woman decided to take her life in the early morning hours. She climbed over the railing of a highway overpass on Alfonso Ugarte Avenue and, after a moment of hesitation, jumped. She landed directly in front of an oncoming Metropolitano bus, which ran over her and killed her instantly.
Bystanders tried the entire time to talk to her and stop her, or at least halt the traffic below. Unfortunately, she jumped before anyone was able to influence the situation. The motive behind her suicidal act is unknown.
