BANGKOK, LAK SI DISTRICT, THAILAND – JANUARY 31, 2026 Dinner at a modest noodle stand in Bangkok turned into a bloody attack in a matter of seconds. At a busy intersection in the Lak Si area, a young man was stabbed in what police say was driven by jealousy and a misunderstanding by the perpetrator.
Nineteen-year-old Narongdet was sitting at a table with his friend Pattarawadee when her ex-boyfriend suddenly appeared. Twenty-year-old Natthaphon arrived on a motorcycle, drew a knife, and attacked without warning. The blow struck Narongdet’s right shoulder, and the knife pierced all the way into his lung.
