BRAZIL Soccer fans, fueled by alcohol, encountered two supporters of a rival team on their way to a match. They attacked them in such overwhelming numbers that the victims had no chance to defend themselves and were visibly terrified. There was no mercy, even when the attackers had already done more than enough.
Violence has no place in soccer; the sport is meant to bring people together, not tear them apart. True fans celebrate passion and camaraderie, not fear and aggression.
