LUSAKA, ZAMBIA – FEBRUARY, 2026 Disturbing video shows two Chinese nationals torturously strangling one of their Zambian female employees. The incident took place in the offices of the Zamfresh company in the Zambian capital, Lusaka.
The video was captured by one of the company’s employees through closed doors. He could not intervene in any way to help the woman. It was subsequently published by activist and commentator Joseph Kalimbwe on social networks, where it triggered a wave of anger and outrage.
The African continent has recently been heavily attracting Chinese investors who exploit cheap labor in the country. Unfortunately, similar incidents are not isolated.
