SEGOVIA, ANTIOQUIA, COLOMBIA – FEBRUARY 26, 2026 Drone loaded with explosives attacked a family house. It killed three people and injured one. The attack took place in the village of La Jagua. The victims were identified as María Cecilia Silva Silva and her two sons, Yalusan Cano Silva and Alonso de Jesús Silva. The injured man, fifty years old and also a son of María Cecilia, is in critical condition.
As the investigation showed, the drone was likely launched by the Cartel del Golfo. The victims belonged to dissidents of the rebel organization FARC, which is currently competing with the cartel for territory. Specifically, these are territories with smuggling routes and illegal gold mining.
