KUSHTIA, BANGLADESH – MARCH, 2026 Horrific incident took place at the Islamic University in Kushtia. A man stabbed a woman to death inside her office and then attempted to slit his own throat in front of shocked witnesses. The victim was identified as Asma Sadiya Runa, and the attacker as Fazlur Rahman – both worked at the university as lecturers. The motive is still unknown. Rahman is currently fighting for his life in the hospital, and if he survives, he will face murder charges.
