LAKHIMPUR, UTTAR PRADESH, INDIA – MARCH 30, 2026 Tragic incident has claimed the life of 17-year-old student Ansh Kumar Jha. The teenager was reportedly filming a short video for social media while handling a pistol and allegedly loading a bullet into it himself. The gun unexpectedly discharged, and the bullet struck him in the stomach.
After being shot, he tried to stop the bleeding, but his condition quickly worsened. Friends rushed him to a hospital, and he was later transferred to Lucknow. Doctors confirmed that the bullet was still inside his body, and despite efforts to save him, he died on the morning of April 2.
However, the family does not believe it was an accident and claims the student may have been kidnapped and murdered. They filed a complaint with police, who are investigating the case and have detained two young men for questioning.
