INDIA Angry mob of villagers decided to take the law into their own hands and punished the man with death. They mercilessly lynched him in the middle of the road. It was never revealed what exactly the victim had done, or what he was suspected of.
In some more remote parts of India, street justice is still a fairly common practice. People who trust neither the police nor the system believe that lynching is the only form of justice through which an offender can be fairly punished. The fact remains that it is a gross violation of human rights. Even the worst criminal has the right to a fair trial and punishment according to the law. Never take part in a lynching, and always call the police to the scene.
