LIMA, PERU – NOVEMBER 28, 2025 Tragic accident occurred shortly before the Copa Libertadores final between Palmeiras and Flamengo. 38-year-old Brazilian doctor and Palmeiras fan Cauê Brunelli Dezotti was traveling with other supporters in an open-top double-decker tourist bus.
According to witnesses, the fans were in the upper section of the bus during the journey, and some of them were jumping around. The vehicle then passed under a bridge that the passengers reportedly failed to notice. Cauê hit his head on the bridge structure and then fell from the bus onto the road.
The man suffered severe head injuries. Rescue workers provided him with first aid and then transported him to Clínica Maison de Santé, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
