According to information from the investigation, a video has appeared that captures his final moments. The recording shows Antônio Marcos being held in a forested area and, under pressure, forced to record a statement in which he names several individuals who were allegedly involved in the situation surrounding his disappearance. Shortly afterward, he says goodbye to his family and is then shot dead at the scene.
The victim’s body has not yet been found, and the circumstances of the crime remain under investigation. According to preliminary information, the attack may have taken place in a remote area near Guajará-Mirim or possibly in the territory of neighboring Bolivia.
