NOVA ANDRADINA, MATO GROSSO DO SUL, BRAZIL – FEBRUARY 13, 2015 In an uninhabited area in the residential neighborhood of Alfeu Francisco, the body of a young woman was found. She was topless and had no visible signs of violence at first glance.
The victim was later identified as 24-year-old Erika de Araújo from Araçatuba in the state of São Paulo. A warrant had been issued for her in connection with a robbery that took place on November 11, 2025. Erika allegedly took part in it together with two other masked men. One of them was identified as her husband, Marcelo Gamarra Alves, who is also subject to an arrest warrant. They allegedly robbed someone of a wallet.
The exact cause of her death was never made public. Police believe she died in another location and was only dumped at the scene where she was found.
