SHANTOU, GUANGDONG, CHINA – JUNE 8, 2026 Tragic accident occurred on Lianjiang Bridge in the Chinese city of Shantou, in which a small child died. A woman was riding an electric moped with her child when, during a brief stop, the child unfortunately fell from the vehicle directly into the path of a passing tanker truck.
The heavy truck was no longer able to stop in time, and the child suffered devastating injuries incompatible with life. According to available information, it was a long-awaited son whom the family had only after the birth of six daughters. The tragedy therefore struck the family even more painfully.
