UKRAINE Across Russian propaganda websites, photos have appeared that allegedly show two members of the U.S. Army posing with the bodies of fallen Russian soldiers. The photos are meant to serve as a kind of proof of the presence of NATO soldiers in Ukraine, which is a narrative the Kremlin uses primarily for its domestic audience.
The special military operation, which was supposed to last only three days, has turned into a bloody war that has been going on for more than four years. This is a huge humiliation for the Russian army, and therefore Russians are often falsely presented with the idea that Russia is fighting in Ukraine not only against Ukraine, but also against all NATO countries.
The USA, nor any other NATO country, demonstrably has no soldiers in Ukraine. There are not even any permanently stationed bases. The origin of the photos has not been verified by any reliable source.
