ARIQUEMES, RONDÔNIA, BRAZIL – MARCH 6, 2025 Woman identified as Lucicleide Raimundo (40) was carrying her son Wallison de Melo (10) on a motorcycle while she was passing through an intersection in the urban area of Ariquemes. According to the investigation, she did not yield or stop at the intersection and entered a space where she collided with a passing car.
After the impact, both motorcycle passengers were thrown and subsequently hit the wall of a nearby building. The injuries were very serious, and despite quick help from rescuers, both died shortly after being transported to the hospital.
Police and forensic department technicians carried out an investigation at the scene and documented the accident trace. The motorcycle and the vehicle involved in the collision were secured for further investigation. The main version of the cause is listed as failure to handle the intersection and a possible driving error, while some early reports also mentioned a technical defect, but that has not been confirmed.
