KISHANGANJ DISTRICT, BIHAR, INDIA – JUNE 20, 2026 Tragic incident occurred on the railway line between Thakurganj and Araria. Near Tulsiya Halt station, an unidentified young man placed his head on the railroad tracks in front of an approaching freight train. Due to the train’s high speed, the engineer had no opportunity to prevent the collision.
The force of the impact was devastating, and the man suffered injuries incompatible with life. He died at the scene. Witnesses stated that everything happened within a matter of seconds and that the people present were unable to intervene.
After the incident was reported, officers from the railway police and members of the Railway Protection Force arrived at the scene and secured the area. This was followed by an examination of the scene, documentation of the case, and the transport of the body for a forensic autopsy.
Investigators are also trying to determine the identity of the deceased. Officials from nearby villages and local residents have been asked to assist with the identification. According to the initial information, all evidence indicates that the man died by suicide. The motive for his actions is not yet known, and one of the possibilities being investigated is mental health problems or family issues.
