GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE – AUGUST 1, 2026 In the Gaza Strip, a series of Israeli airstrikes took place, in which at least 18 people were killed, according to Palestinian health authorities. The strikes hit several different areas in Gaza, including Gaza City, Deir al-Balah, and Khan Younis.
The Israeli military stated that some of the strikes targeted Hamas militants. However, Palestinian authorities also reported civilian casualties, including people who were hit in residential buildings and other structures.
The footage shows the aftermath of one of the strikes in the Rimal neighborhood in the northern part of Gaza. Although the total number of casualties for that day resulted from several strikes in different locations across the Gaza Strip, the video comes specifically from the Rimal area.
