VALENÇA, BAHIA, BRAZIL – AUGUST 29, 2026 Tragic accident occurred in the afternoon on the BA-542 road between the areas of Bonfim and Derradeira, near the city of Valença. A motorcyclist was killed in a collision between a passenger car and a motorcycle, while the car driver was injured.
According to footage of the accident, the car driver lost control of the vehicle shortly after going through a curve. The car began swerving across the road and subsequently crossed into the opposite lane. The first motorcyclist approaching from the opposite direction was still able to avoid the collision. However, the second motorcyclist was traveling at high speed, and after the car entered his lane, he apparently no longer had enough time to react, according to the available footage. He collided with the side of the car and suffered fatal injuries.
