PEDRO CANÁRIO, ESPÍRITO SANTO, BRAZIL – SEPTEMBER 7, 2026 Tragic accident occurred on the BR-101 federal highway. At approximately 3:50 p.m., a truck struck a 58-year-old woman. The impact was so devastating that her body was crushed under the wheels of the heavy vehicle, causing fatal injuries incompatible with life. Her death was confirmed at the scene of the accident.
The truck driver subsequently went to a station of the Brazilian Federal Highway Police (PRF). He told officers that he did not initially notice the collision itself and only learned that he had struck the woman after other drivers alerted him. The exact circumstances under which the woman ended up on the roadway remain under investigation.
