SALVADOR, BAHIA, BRAZIL – SEPTEMBER 14, 2026 Man suffered serious injuries after falling from a building in the Farol da Barra neighborhood. Footage shows him attempting to reach the structure of a lower floor from the outside of the building. He subsequently lost his balance and fell onto Avenida Oceânica.
Rescuers took the man to Hospital Geral do Estado (HGE), where he was reportedly scheduled to undergo surgery. His name and age were not released.
The Civil Police of the State of Bahia is preliminarily treating the case as a suicide attempt. An unconfirmed version also appeared on social media claiming that the man had allegedly been fleeing an apartment before the fall in connection with a case of infidelity. Police have not confirmed this information and have not released further details about the investigation.
