ORLAND PARK, ILLINOIS, USA – SEPTEMBER 15, 2026 Attempted armed robbery at a gas station ended with the robber being shot. The incident occurred around 9:00 near the intersection of Harlem Avenue and 151st Street.
According to CCTV footage, a masked man approached a customer who was pumping gas and pulled out a gun. The customer then reached behind his back, pulled out his own handgun, and fired at least twice. The security footage shows the suspect dropping his weapon and fleeing the scene.
Police later found the wounded man and took him to a hospital for treatment. The footage also shows him limping as he fled. The customer who fired the shots was not injured. Police said he holds a concealed carry permit and is cooperating with investigators.
