KANPUR, UTTAR PRADESH, INDIA – MAY 2, 2026 Woman attacked her 25-year-old husband while he was sleeping. Suraj Katheria suffered a serious neck injury after his wife, Sarita alias Golu, attacked him with a blade.
The attack occurred after long-standing marital disputes. According to police, the couple frequently argued over Sarita’s children from a previous relationship. Suraj had also reportedly alerted police several weeks before the attack that he feared he would be harmed.
After the attack, Suraj was taken to a hospital, where he received treatment. Sarita subsequently went to a police station and reported the incident to police. They launched an investigation and, based on the injured man’s statement, are treating the case as an attempt on his life.
