SERPONG UTARA, BANTEN, INDONESIA – OCTOBER 9, 2026 Two students, aged 14 and 15, died in a traffic accident in the Alam Sutera area. According to preliminary information, they were trying to escape from a group of other students who allegedly had bladed weapons in their possession.
The victims, identified by the initials A (14) and W (15), were riding together on a red Honda Scoopy motorcycle when a group of other students allegedly pursued them. While attempting to escape, the motorcycle struck a road divider and then an electricity pole. Both teenagers sustained fatal injuries. A third student who had initially been with them reportedly managed to reach safety.
A medical examination revealed no stab or cut wounds on either victim’s body. The injuries found were consistent with the impact, supporting the conclusion that the teenagers died in a traffic accident rather than in a direct physical attack.
Police subsequently detained three students suspected of possessing bladed weapons. Investigators are now examining the circumstances of the alleged pursuit and its connection to the fatal accident.
