SANTO DOMINGO ESTE, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – FEBRUARY 12, 2024 A woman’s dismembered body was found wrapped in a bag at the Cancino Adentro landfill. Forensic specialists estimated her age at 20-22 years old. The body was partially burned and had a gunshot wound to the chest. She also had many bruises.
On closer examination, sexual assault was also found. Her vagina was torn from the insertion of a large object.
Based on her bracelet and physical similarities, it is speculated that the victim could be Perla Cristal Sánchez Acosta, who has been missing in the area for 8 days.
