Guy set himself on fire in front of Israeli embassy in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C., USA – FEBRUARY 25, 2024 A man identified as Aaron Bushnell doused himself with flammable fuel and burned himself to death outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C. Bushnell was an active duty soldier in the United States Army where he worked as a mechanic for the Air Force. His motive for self-immolation was support for Palestine. He said he could no longer stand by and watch the Israeli people commit genocide against the Palestinian civilian population. As a member of the allied army, he felt guilty.

Bushnell planned to shock the general public with his actions. He live-streamed the self-immolation on Twitch. Several police officers rushed to the scene and tried to help him, but it was too late. Bushnell died from the burn injuries at a local hospital.
