ÁGUA PRETA, PERNAMBUCO, BRAZIL – DECEMBER 2, 2024 Isaías dos Santos Silva, 33, was attacked and stabbed in broad daylight on the street. The attacker used a small knife but inflicted many stab wounds. It took some time before he died, but on arrival at the Água Preta City Hospital he was already pronounced dead by doctors.
The motive for the murder is currently under investigation by police, but it is believed it may be related to Isaías’s criminal history.
Not long after the incident, a suspect in the murder was tracked down. He has been identified as 38-year-old Luciano José Gomes da Silva. He was hidden in a wooden area near State Road PE-96. During a body search, the murder weapon – a fish knife covered in blood – was found on him.
