KAVUNDAPADI, TAMIL NADU, INDIA – JANUARY 16, 2025 27-year-old Indian YouTuber and influencer Rahul Tiky died in a traffic accident near Kavundapadi. Rahul was from Karungalpalayam and was known on social media mainly for his humorous videos and dance content. More than 819,000 people followed him on Instagram, and his YouTube channel had approximately 300,000 subscribers.

Rahul was riding a motorcycle from Erode to Kavundapadi at around 10:30 p.m., where he wanted to pick up his wife, Devika Sri, from her family. According to police, he lost control of the motorcycle while riding and crashed into the side of a bridge and the central road divider. The impact threw him off the motorcycle, and the vehicle was subsequently dragged for approximately 160 feet (50 meters). Rahul suffered severe head injuries and died at the scene. Police said Rahul was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, while some later reports mentioned that his relatives disputed this information.
