Remains of two dismembered men found in plastic bag

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – FEBRUARY 8, 2025 Residents of the Coelho da Rocha neighborhood, in the city of São João de Meriti, which is part of the metropolitan area of Rio de Janeiro, found the remains of two male bodies. They were dismembered, wrapped in plastic bags, and discarded in area near the river. The discovery was made on Rua Plácido Figueredo Júnior, in front of the Rubense Farrully state school. The case is now being intensively investigated by the police, with the assumption that it is linked to gang activity in the area.
