15-year-old Adriana Hernández Ostos called her father to tell him about her intention to commit suicide and to say goodbye to him one last time. He begged her not to do anything rash and to wait for him at home until he returned from work. He then immediately contacted the police and headed home.

Although he arrived at the house even before the police, unfortunately, it was already too late. His daughter had been dead for about 15 minutes. She had hanged herself using a cord that she had attached to her bunk bed.
Her father said that he was absolutely shocked by the whole situation. According to him, his daughter never showed suicidal tendencies. Her mood was always normal. He also said that she was an excellent student and a singer in extracurricular activities. Interestingly, her mother also died a few years earlier, also by suicide.
If you’re thinking about suicide, please stop and recognize that your pain is not permanent, but this step would be. It may feel like there’s no other way, but there is hope, even if it’s hard to see right now. Your feelings are temporary, and with help, they can pass.
