At least 4 females died in sinking of motorboat

MYANMAR (BURMA) – SEPTEMBER 7, 2016 Tragic event occurred on the Toungup River when a motorboat carrying 19 passengers from the town of Taunggok in the Rakhine region to Sakugyun sank. At least 4 women lost their lives and drowned in the river. The confirmed victims are: 17-year-old Aye Ree Soe, 16-year-old Khine Mar Than, 53-year-old Hla Aye, 54-year-old Shwe Lone. Others were swept away by the strong current and were reported missing. Their fate and whether they survived is unknown. Among them are: 40-year-old Lone Lone, 22-year-old Soe Mi Mi Shwe.
