WUHAN, CHINA – JUNE 4, 2025 At a university in the Chinese city of Wuhan, a student armed with a knife began to attack their classmates frantically and stab them. According to witnesses, he targeted the neck area with the intention to kill. However, no fatalities have been confirmed so far. He did cause several serious injuries.

After the incident, the attacker unsuccessfully attempted suicide. He was detained and escorted to the hospital accompanied by the police.
According to some sources, the attack was not premeditated, but the attacker acted impulsively because he failed to defend his thesis. Before the attack, he posted the following status on his social media: “I have no choice but to go to the canteen and attack a few random people. I’ll take someone with me. I’m giving up, starting over. When a problem can’t be solved together, the only thing left is to kill. Nothing is more effective than a kitchen knife.”
