GUAYAQUIL, ECUADOR – JUNE 24, 2025 On the Via Perimetral road near the Montebello area, a tragic accident claimed the life of a woman. A shipping container on a truck trailer suddenly tipped over and crushed the woman, who was standing on the sidewalk waiting for a bus. She died instantly. The incident was recorded by a security camera.
Police administered a breathalyzer test to the truck driver, which came back negative for alcohol. The case is currently under police investigation to determine who is responsible for the accident.
