ITABELA, BAHIA, BRAZIL – JULY 20, 2025 Armed group arrived at the home of 24-year-old Rodrigo Alves dos Santos and demanded that he come outside. When he approached the door, gunfire erupted. Most of the bullets hit his head, and he died on the spot.
Local residents described the situation as complete chaos. The attackers reportedly showed no concern for the fact that the streets were full of people who could be endangered by the shooting. One random woman was even struck and seriously injured by a stray bullet.
The attackers filmed the execution and posted the video on social media. In the footage, one of the attackers is seen from a first-person perspective firing shots into the head of the already dead Rodrigo.
Although the police believe the crime is connected to gang territorial disputes, the victim’s neighbors disagree. According to them, Rodrigo was a decent man who was not involved in any illicit activities.
