MANTICAO, MISAMIS ORIENTAL, PHILIPPINES – JULY 11, 2025 Fishermen found the floating body of a young woman about 500 feet (150 meters) from the shore of Manticao. After being pulled ashore, she was identified as 24-year-old nursing student Chloe Suzene G. She was even wearing a nurse’s uniform.

No signs of violence or struggle were found on her body. Preliminary reports indicate that the day before, on July 10, she committed suicide by jumping from a bridge in Iligan City. Her motives remain unknown.
The news of her death sparked a wave of sadness among her family and friends. Chloe was always seen as a hopeful and hardworking person with a promising future ahead of her.
