HARGEISA, SOMALILAND, SOMALIA Visitors at a wildlife rehabilitation center in the capital of Somaliland were shocked to witness a man being attacked by lions after he entered their enclosure. It was later revealed that he suffers from a mental disorder and was likely aware of what he was doing. According to available information, he was apparently attempting to take his own life.
After several long minutes during which the lions tormented him and played with him like a cat with a mouse, caretakers finally intervened. Fortunately, they were able to rescue the man, and he survived the attack.
