NANJANGUD, KARNATAKA, INDIA – AUGUST 2, 2025 Tragic road accident occurred in the southern Indian state of Karnataka, resulting in the death of one woman and injuries to another. The incident took place at around 11:15 a.m. in the Mysuru district.
According to police reports, a state-run KSRTC bus was overtaking another vehicle when a truck coming from the opposite direction crashed into the right side of the bus. The impact was so severe that a 55-year-old female passenger suffered fatal head injuries and died on the spot. Another woman, seated nearby, sustained a broken arm and was taken to the hospital for further treatment.
The driver of the truck fled the scene, but authorities later managed to trace the vehicle. An investigation is ongoing to determine the full circumstances of the crash.
The woman who died was reportedly returning home after visiting relatives. Her sudden death has left her family and other passengers deeply shocked.
Local police have filed a criminal case following a complaint from the deceased woman’s son.
